Its been awhile since I last posted. Life continues to be good. Challenge is good. Less aching is good. Less sadness is good.
Onwards and upwards. I am having too much fun, getting too involved in my life to be sad for long.

Post Bank Holiday
Rain rain and even more rain over the bank holiday. Isabella stayed over at Jorge's house for two nights. She is becoming a handful. That teenage angst. Seriously. Always knows more than mom and dad. Mom and dad is the old fuddy duddy. Sarcasm flying across and no appreciation of money, hard earn money. Everything is Abercrombie is fantastic, Hollister too. But Zara is gross, its awful.
Try telling a teenager that charging £72 for a pink cotton shirt is a plain rip off. How many more of the teenage years do I have in store for me?

Quotes
I needed some things done in the house - shutters for the patio, new wooden entrance door, upholstery and maybe a new kitchen.
The shutters man came last week, the quote was an eye watering of nearly £3,000. Yesterday, the door company came it was even more expensive, £5,200.00. It is a plain wooden oak door, why is it so expensive?

Rainy dull Thursday
Its been a dull Thursday, rainy and drizzly. Life is good, have had a suggestion thats came from the left field. Totally unexpected. Flattering but unexpected.
At one point it ticks a lot of the boxes. I was awhile back entertaining the idea of an FWB, just occasionally, as and when. The sticky wicky is that he is the fiancee of a good and close friend of mine. I have tried to be forthright with her, asking her some uncomfortable questions. However, she has this bravado about her, which I know deep down inside doesn't run through. I have also gone through enough with her to know that she have had problems in accepting his liasions; especially liasions whereby she knows off that person.
The good thing about this, if there's such a thing, is that its an FWB situation, he knows that he is a FWB and I know that he is a FWB, nothing more than that. It will never be more than that. But and it is a big but, I don't want to ever hurt my good friend. Her friendship is by far more important to me than sex, casual sex.
Furthermore, in my head, I have never entertained nor thought about him in any other ways; other than as my good friend's fiancee.

Looking forward to the weekend
Its been a long ole week this week. Too much socialising. It has been good but it also shows that I am not one for flirting and endless amounts of small talk, night after night. Listening to BS and even more BS.
Flat has been rented out for over a week now. It didn't stay on the market for long, a mere 2 days. It was a mad scramble, last minute tidying up and boxing some bits and pieces for the final push. Everyone pitched in, Chris in particular. Its all sorted now, tenants are in. Last week there had been a lot of hand holding by me and the agents involved since living in London is a completely new culture to this family. I am glad that they have finally settle down now, its been exhausting as well as stressful all this babying.
There are some bits and pieces that needs doing around the house, now that the weather is finally looking up. For the past 2 days, it has been getting Isabella's bedroom updated, with a promise that she will have to remove and maintain a clutter free bedroom. lol I wonder how long this clutter free vibe will last.
Then it is repotting of a lot of plants. All my palm trees at the front have all died due to the severe last winter even though these palm trees are hardy. Last winter had been really bad.
Regrouting all the bathrooms, now thats a must, particularly mom's bathroom. Its nasty. Then its the extension revival. Maybe a new kitchen. I am going to Homebase on Saturday for an initial quote.
Repaving the back patio is another job for this summer.

May now
Came back holiday a week ago now. Work is nearly all caught up. Holiday has been good. Rested and cleared a lot of cobwebs.
